Most of our structural steel staircases are constructed to allow for the timber treads to be pre-coated in our strong and durable finishes that are professionally applied in a spray booth, free from the dust and dirt that is in your house.

Depending on the desired finish and product you request, our timber treads are sealed and given either 2 or 3 coats of the Clear polyurethane , oil or stain and clear coat that is needed. The treads are then wrapped and delivered to site with the staircase or they can be fitted at a later stage to prevent the timber from getting scratched and damaged by careless trades people.

We can supply you with temporary treads so you can use the stair for access and then we can install the treads and chosen handrail at a later stage before you move in. This system also works well with our renovated stair systems where there is a problem of ensuring that the family can use the staircase immediately without waiting a day or so for the coating to dry. We are sure that Mum and Dad would have to be happy with that!!!
